Meet Holly
Though she didn’t always call herself a writer, the signs were there from the start. From acing writing assignments in school to crafting stories for fun, Holly’s love for words grew alongside her calling to teach. The classroom was her first home—and it’s still where she shines today, helping kids build confidence as readers and learners.Cal the Camel and His Kayaking Adventure was born unexpectedly during a weekend adventure—after a kayaking trip and visit to an animal safari park in Oklahoma. Holly scribbled the first draft in a tiny notebook on the way home, where it stayed tucked away until 2020. That’s when she finally brought Cal’s story to life—and hasn’t stopped writing since.
The excitement of teaching gets me up in the morning,
and the excitement of being an author keeps me up late.
Today, Holly blends storytelling and education to create books for kids that are fun, heartwarming, and filled with purpose. Her books often come with printable resources and teacher tools that make classroom learning feel fresh and exciting. She lives in Oklahoma with her family and finds joy in porch chats, vintage copper finds, frog-themed classroom treasures, and helping young readers fall in love with books.
